Stichting Duende Aktiviteiten
Besides providing artists with a place to work, Duende has sought to enhance the quality of art through its organization of exhibitions, weekend manifestos, and symposia. Through the years these activities intensified and in 1998, Stichting Duende Aktiviteiten (Duende Activities) was established.
Duende Activities conceptualizes and organizes activities such as lectures, exhibitions, presentations and the three guest-studios. These activities are being developed by the artists, sometimes in close collaboration with others outside of the building, such as philosophers, other artists from the Netherlands and abroad, curators, etc.
Duende does not run a separate exhibition space: for every presentation we try to find and negotiate the best possible spaces, not only inside the building but also temporarily in the centre of town. Until now, most activities have taken place in the large building itself.
