From all over the world
Stichting Duende Aktiviteiten offers three guest studios for artists from The Netherlands and abroad. Two of these studios are programmed and managed by a commission formed by Duende volunteer members. Studios (60 – 90 m2, 4,5 meters high) and accommodation (30 – 50 m2 adjacent rooms to the studios) are available to artists from all over the world for a period of three months. ADSL internet connection is included. In the building there is a communal kitchen and shower. Other facilities available to the guests are a washing machine, television, video player, pay phone and fax. Duende’s building is centrally located. It takes about ten minutes to bike to downtown (central station, galleries and museums). A studio in combination with a private room cost € 300,- per month.
Guest artists are offered the possibility to present their work in public. This usually takes place during the open studio days at the end of the residency. Some other ways of public presentations can be discussed according to the guest’s interests.
If you are interested in applying for a three-month residency at one of our guest studios within the program of 2010, please send the following documentation in a CD to the address on the contact page:
-15 images of visual documentation about your work (preferably as Power point presentation). If you work with video or film, you can also send a DVD with a compilation of max 3 works and five minutes total playing time
-Artist statement (max 1 page)
-A short letter of motivation (max ½ page) explaining your plans, what project or work you are intending to develop during the residency.
